Workplace Injury Treatment in Mississauga – Curezone Physiotherapy is a workplace injury clinic in Mississauga located at Britannia road west and Mavis road providing the WSIB Programs of Care for:

  • Fractures & post-operative Rehabilitation
  • Mild Traumatic Brain Injuries to injured workers (Acute or Post traumatic Concussions)

We are fully registered with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). All registered physiotherapists and registered massage therapist are fully trained and familiar working with WSIB patients and forms such as Form 8, Form 26 and FAF along with the appropriate initial assessment paperwork.

Our physiotherapy treatment plan is focused on your individual needs and goals. We take the responsibility to educate you about your injury, give specific exercises, provide work conditioning, and work hardening programs according to your work environment after your initial physiotherapy assessment. Our goal is to control pain, control inflammation, rehabilitate your condition with exercise programs and get back to work safely.

We are fully registered with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). We provide direct billing to WSIB and If you have been injured at work, please notify your workplace immediately so that they may fill out the necessary paperwork to start a claim. You may also have to book an appointment with your family doctor or go to a walk-in clinic to check and fill the appropriate paperwork such as form 8.

You can also Book an appointment with our physiotherapist so as they can fill the required paperwork and submit WSIB accordingly. The assessments are usually done on the same day followed by the treatment on the follow up visits.

Workplace Injury Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is provided to all WISB related claims based on their injury and program of care approved by the Case manager. Physiotherapy program includes:

Acute Phase: Modalities like Laser, Ultrasound, IFC are usually given to reduce pain and inflammation. Active and passive exercises to increase or maintain the range of motion of the part injured.

Sub-Acute Phase:  Our physiotherapist starts with more active phase of rehabilitation by giving more active strengthening and stretching exercises.

Chronic Phase: This phase is mainly the end phase of the treatment plan which generally consist of progressing strength training, Manual Therapy, Soft tissue release, work hardening and conditioning exercises.
